Kyle Perks BA, DMO, obtained his Diploma in Manual Osteopathy from the National Academy of Osteopathy. He has a diverse background in rehabilitative health sciences, bringing a multifaceted approach to manual healthcare. Kyle Perks has experience in kinesiology and exercise science, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nutrition and manual osteopathy.
Prior to completing his studies in osteopathy, Kyle Perks completed his Bachelors degree in psychology, with a secondary focus in kinesiology at York University. After receiving his degree, he continued his education in health science by obtaining a dual Diploma (with honours) in physiotherapy and occupational therapy. As a certified PTA/OTA, Kyle Perks completed his placement at Mississauga Wellness and was inspired to continue his education to become an osteopathic practitioner.
Kyle Perks practices only evidence-based, osteopathic techniques including osteo-articular joint mobilizations, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), Muscle Energy Technique (MET) and soft tissue therapy. He also provides physiotherapy modalities including interferential current (IFC), ultrasound therapy, cold laser therapy, heat and cryotherapy and is very well versed in rehabilitative exercises and in muscular strengthening and conditioning. Kyle Perks is excited to be working in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment at Mississauga Wellness.
